just take 2 screw out that hold out cable to fire wall. Unclip from pedal, then should be out. then disconnect from carby. Yea, thats one of the great and as far as I can see pointless differences between XD and XE ‘s. XD’s throttle cables enter the firewall between the engine and booster and the pedal goes over the steering column.

8/2/2014 · From an old fellas memory i had to put a small cut in the cable retainer to fit the inner cable through and then the retainer nuts went each side of the bracket and tightened up perfectly. I could adjust the position of the cable easily to get the correct throw on the linkage. Also need to buy a 1/4 throttle ball to bolt on to the carby linkage.
